yes JD some people definitely bring out our sinister side. As far as a block party goes I think the park tenants will do one better and hold a parade in front & back of their vehicle as they are being escorted out. I will be the grand marshal -lol

Update: we spent money that should have gone to more drywall for the master bedroom on a privacy fence. 40 ft of fence on the cottage property and then ran out of money. Guess who we see peeking around the corner? One of the hounds from he!!. *ack*

Update two: When getting the permit for the fence, DH learns that the city is enacting an ordinance that disallows vehicles from being placed on grass and parked. *yippee* They would get a notice, then within 30 days have the city tow away the vehicle and then have to pay for storage. So I guess that means no hearse in the yard. :D

Update three: said HFH are louder when they bark because it echoes from three sides, the old privacy fence at the rear of the property, the new privacy fence on the cottage side and the house side. Neighbors are much more vigilant about getting said hfh indoors when they start barking as it's much louder to them as well

Hi Sylvia,

Glad things are starting to get better.

Yup. unfortunately it sucks to have to spend your money on something other than what it was intended for. But at least (hopefully) you will get some quite.

I forgot about that ordinance about parking the cars on the grass. In my area that law was enacted a few years back, no parking on the grass, and no vehicles on jack stands etc in driveways. This law only applies within city limits though.

Save some more money and complete the fence, let your shrubs continue to grow and in no time you will have a little more piece and quite.
