The Mounting Flange Instructions call for "non-tapered Flat Head Screws".
Well I search and searched HD, but all flat head wood screws are tapered.

I was going to use Pan Head because they were the only Non-tapered screws on the displays, until.........

I saw "Lath Screws", oh goody.

Lath Screws have a wider, washer like head ,which will spread the force through the plastic flange, they are non-tapered and they have a head that is thinner then the Pan Head.
Pan Head #8 is 1/8" thick and the Lath Screw is 3/32".

I know big deal, but 1/32 less is 1/32 less you have to contend with when laying wallboard over the flange.

I hope this helps if you're mounting a shower surround.
