So, Im replacing my water heater (leaky one from previous post)...And i simply pulled my T&P Relief Valve Drain pipe up out of the floor. I shined a flash light down there and all I see if belly insulation! Shouldn't this be draining to a pipe? or at least to the ground to prevent any damage to other things?

Have any of you found this while doing any water heater repairs?

Ideally it should go through the insulation and drain onto the ground. You really don't want to fill the belly with water if it starts leaking.

Ideally ideally it should 90 out to drain outside the skirting.
