My 26 year old plastic garden tub has cracks in the bottom. I'm about ready to replace it but it has the drain in the middle-back of the tub. How do ya access this drain pipe connection for removal and subsequent reconnection to the drain pipe? There is no access panel under the home. The only way I can see to do it is to pull out the cook stove in the kitchen and cut out the wall behind it in order to disconnect/reconnect the drain pipe.

Anyone with experience - do you know if there is another way to do this? Thanks.

Either way is possible.

If you go from below, either cut a square and frame in an access hatch or cut your hole and tape it back together. If you come from behind the stove, be careful of wires in the wall. You could just frame back an access there as well when you're done.

If you plan on going back with the same tub, then this is fairly straightforward. But if your new tub has a difference configuration, then you may have to go from below anyways.
