This may be nothing new but I was wondering if any one has any ideas about refinishing the original vinyl over pressboard kitchen cabinets in our manufactured home. Thanks for all your help and ideas.

Ours are all replaced now, but we went a lot of years with the originals that we primed and painted white.

You can try a search and also check the Decorating forum for ideas. I know the topic does come up here fairly often.

I primed and painted our bathroom vanity, which worked quite well. I don't know how it would stand up in the heavier usage of a kitchen. Clean thoroughly first, with TSP.

Saw on one of the MH improvements sites....homeowner took a gel stain and went over the kitchen cabinets, left the woodgrain, but gave it a tint they were happy with. Put a coat of clear sealant over it looks nice. They posted before and after pixs. Looked great....just something I saw.
