I was working on a project about two weeks back and the client wanted to refinish their breakfast nook area. I am considering putting down a laminate but the client wants carpet. How can I persuade them to get away from using carpet?

They are paying. Give them what they want. I don't mean this in a smart-ass way either. Why do you want so badly for them to have laminate? Do they have pets? I agree with you in that food and drink spills wiould be easier to clean up after if the floor was laminate.
Thanks!

I can't imagine why someone would want carpet in a breakfast nook.
How about how about laminate with an area rug under the table?

I agree...they are paying for a service within their home. If they want carpet, carpet it would be. I have carpet in my dining room, I also own a carpet shampooer!

Good luck,
