Where is the best place to get inexpensive interior wall paneling?

If you want the original type paneling, any home store should have different styles. You can also use sheetrock if you want the stick built look.

Is luann paintable?

Yes paint and stainable--we made our dd corner cabinet from it--drywall @$6 a sheet,4x8--luane 10-12, paneling--usually special order, 15-22 a sheet--we used masonite for the ceilings $5 a sheet--painted it,it is light weight,we treated the screw holes that same as drywall and u can not see them
