I will be moving in my home within the next week or two and I need to get my furnace inspected, but I need to know what to expect....

I will call around tomorrow and check but I was just wanting to know the prices that you all have been given.

Id do what you posted, call around and see what each company charges.
Many companies have free estimates, which can help you see what youre looking at money-wise.

If it is a gas furnace often the utility company will do one for you. Other wise make a few phone calls to heating contractors.

I think you might be better off paying for a service call to have the furnace cleaned. The skeptic in me says anyone who would offer to come out and do this for free is more inclined to try to sell me something I don't really need.
