I'm considering painting the exterior myself and I'm looking for some paint recommendations. I live in Central California and have a mobile with Aluminum Horizontal Siding. I would like to paint the siding as well as various other metal parts and pieces to match.

What suggestions do you have if I'm planning to paint it myself?

I read this on "Ask the builder.com" on using metal primer first.

I used Valspar 100% Latex over Vinyl with a primer and it worked great.

Lorne is right on that about using a good primer even if you don't spend a lot on the paint primer is of up most importance. I would recomend Kwall or valspar on paint if you can afford it if not you can get color palace from walmart which is made by Sherman Williams.
My mind never stops working.
