Hello all, I have my furnace near my kitchen and you can see the face of it. My question is can and if it is a good idea to put one of the slotted bi-fold doors in front of it. just for looks? of would it choke the air it pulls from the home?

My furnace is located in the hallway. We have a steel(?) vented door in front of ours. Our furnace guy said it is fine to have the door (house came with it) and it is fine to change it to a wood one as long as the vents are in place. So I would think it would be just fine. If in doubt call someone who works on furnaces and ask. Good luck!

Rhonda is correct. As long as it is a true louvered door with the air gaps between louvers, you would be fine.
