where can i get the replacement "guts" for my shut off?

Depending on the faucet, many hardware stores carry the parts. You will need to get it apart to find out what you need. Greg

ok thanks, i will try.

i noticed that things in my mobile home seem different that things you fine in regular homes (3/8" gwb). i just assumed i needed to go to a special web site that sold parts.

Some parts are standard, some are oddball. Most times you can change faucets to a standard faucet if you need to. Greg

You may also be able to just rebuild the valve with new washers and o-rings too. Those can be found at any hardware store. Just don't forget to turn off your water before you remove the valve, you'll get an unwanted shower. :)
