Hiya guys.. Well, it took me three weeks to do but I finally finished screening in my porch. YEA.... I used foam inserts I cut to close in the roof and put new carpet down. A project I can say was way over my head, but i managed (by myself) with little complaining. Hope yall enjoy!!!

Thanks guys.. I HATE BUGS - I think all girls do though.. lol As for the approximate cost, it kept going up. It's appx. size is 8'x24'. I bought all pressure treated lumber, water seal, primer, paint, new lattice, carpet, carpet glue, new screen door for the front ($70) and the cheapest part was the screen. We got the fiberglass 48x100' roll for $60. Most expensive was of course the outdoor carpet. My roommate bought materials as they were needed, but I would maybe guess around $300-400 maybe. I've never built anything like this before (if you've seen any of my other posts I continually repeat that fact) so it probably would cost a bit less for someone who knew what they were doing. lol. I have a porch I'm going to screen in this summer,
your 'foam for stuffing the rafter holes' was a real
inspiration to me for ideas. I've been wondering
how to plug those darn holes in my own porch.

I thought I would have to cut wood to fit into the gaps.
The foam looks very nice, did you put a dab or two
of glue or caulk around the foam before inserting it ?

By the way the entire project turned out beautiful,
you did an awesome job. I hope I can do my porch cheaper
though, I thought 'buy some wood strips and screen' lol
Maybe I'm under thinking all the work or supplies it really takes.
