Can I check a thermostat on a Rheems Elec hot water heater with an ohms meter, and if so, how do I do it?

Hi & welcome. You can usually hear them click on & off. They can be checked with a meter, Kill the power if you are using an ohm meter. Greg

Thanx for the reply. I checked it with the meter, and I had a reading across two of the terminals(left side, top to bottom, but I did not get a reading across the right side, top to bottom, so I replaced it. [/u][/quote][/code]
