removing stubborn glass window pane

I have a broken window pane that is glued in with something that
looks like contact cement between the glass and the metal frame.
I am trying to find a way to loosen the glue enough to remove all of the glass. Is there a solvent or something else that might help?

Hi & welcome. you could try using some heat. either a heat gun or a propane torch. you may end up at a glass shop and it may be easier in the long run. Greg
