Hello

This is my first post, (of many to come for sure).

I am familiar with replacing switch / outlet covers in a stick built house that are soiled or yellowed. In this MH the outlets and covers are together.

Can they be painted to renew the color or do I have to replace?

If I can paint, what paint is best? Primer? etc...

Thanks,
Ted

Ted, Welcome to the family. Most of the covers just snap off, there usually are 2 snaps on the back of the cover one top and one bottom. they can be painted or try a strong cleaner first, the worst that can happen is that you have to paint it. Greg

Hi,

Welcome to the site!

Just my 2 cents here, but make sure you shut the power off to each outlet that you wash. Even with a damp rag I have been shocked.

LOL, I have accidently rolled over the outlets when painting, I can say that they paint has never adhered well to the outlets themselves, thankfully I have always removed the plates.

Have a great day!

I finally replaced all my outlets, switches and covers. But before i did, I used to fancy them up for everyroom by gluing material to each cover. Could always match the theme of each room.
