i bought the article on the inexpensive roof replacement, but that's for a single wide.
What are my options on a double wide[ 28x80 , its probably a 1995 model]?
I'd " like" to do it myself [ if possible] but if not i can contract it out.
I have a shingle roof with a pitch in the center. I want to keep the cost down. Ive contacted " roof over" and the estimate I got was $6500-9200. I could just re- shingle it for under that id think?
open to ideas. I live in Louisiana.
double wide roof replacment ideas

The plans for the metal roof can easily be used for a double wide by ending the panels at the ridge and adding a ridge cap.
For approx 24sq of shingles installed by a contractor, you are probably looking at $6000 +/- $1000, for decent shingles. This would include tear off and hauling away old shingles. Probably about $1500 worth of materials for a DIY.

I wouldn't think you would have to pay for that information here at the forum. Mark is the author of those plans. Hopefully he will give his input. Also other members have installed this roof. Maybe they can give you more details and pictures.
I do not install that particular roof, but I have been a pole barn builder and have been installing metal mobile home roofs for a long time. This would be a standard installation practice and very simple to do.
