Can anyone help me figure out how to replace the door frame to my single wide. My Dad and I working on a fixer-upper and he sees the savings in trimming down a regular house door. Now he wonders how to get it to fit the existing frame, or better yet replace the frame. He liked the idea of the mobile home specific door because it came frame and all and we would just have to slide it in the door hole. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi

Here's a good article by Mark Bower that might help:

Aside from the roof leak, soft floors, rats, mice and bursted plumbing ........ how do you like it?

I know your posting read Replace a frame but another thing you could try is to make your own door to fit the frame if it is in good shape. Someone was kind enough to leave a small door behind and with a little work I was able to build a fitted strong wooden entrance door.
Most Mobile interior doors are hollow core and have only a few wooden parts in the frame.
Here are 2 sites about doors and plans.

Love the gnome door found at the first link you posted! I might try that.
