Simple Question.......trying to repair toilet tank leak!

I just had a new toilet installed. I have a minor leak....nothing major that I will have fixed soon, but I am trying to learn a little in the process. Can someone please take a look at the two pictures I am attaching and tell me if this is a sharkbite fitting at the bottom or a watts connection or what is it? What is at the top where the water supply line connects to the tank? What is that metal ring crimped around the tubing @ the top? What size tubing is this? (1/2 inch) and what is it? It is not PVC or CPVC because it is semi-flexible. Final question, please. If I wanted to go to Lowes and replace the section from the cutoff valve at the bottom to where it connects at the top, what do I need to buy? Thanks to anyone who can help me. Please excuse my ignorance. I am not good at this type of stuff and I am trying to learn a little. Oh, how do I disconnect at the bottom where the tubing goes into the shutoff valve?

It is a fitting to go from plastic tube to pipe thread on the bottom of the fill valve.
Try tightening the nut slightly and see it that stops the leak. if not shut the water off and remove the nut. there should be a flat rubber washer that goes between the adapter & fill valve that may be leaking.
If you have to you can remove the tube assembly from the valve by pushing down the lock ring and pulling the tube. Any home center or hardware store should have a new tube or parts that you need.

Ok, thanks for your reply Greg? Is the bottom what is called a sharkbite fitting? I am just curious. What size is the tubing..... 1/2 inch?

I did tighten it some more as you suggested and that seems to have fixed the problem.

Again, thank you for responding. I appreciate it.

The fitting in the shutoff looks like a sharkbite style (there are a few different brand names). I would keep an eye on it and plan on changing it to prevent problems.
