Floor warping

Our floor in the closet was warping terribly. We ripped the floor up expecting to find a leaky pipe, and found some water, but no pipes appear to be leaking. We ripped the floor completely out tracing the pipes all the way into the bathroom. Again, no leaks. Since it is under the a/c tube, is it possible it could be condensation? There just seems to be no explanation for where the water is coming from. Was wondering if anyone has had similar experiences and can offer any insight. tia.

Is it by an outside wall? There may be a leak somewhere. There could be a condensation problem but I would look elsewhere first.

Material doesn't have to appear wet to have excessive moisture which would cause buckling. Use of a moisture meter helps determine moisture content.
