Rigid foam insulation

Greets all,
I’m considering putting in 1 inch or 1/2 inch rigid foam insulation in my exterior walls. I’ll use the cans of spray foam filler to seal up the edges. I was planning on laying it on top of my current insulation (whatever may be there, haven’t looked yet). I’ll be doing this by removing my interior wall board panels (the cheap stuff) and replacing with drywall. Main reason is my place is very leaky. I tried using window film last summer on my old windows do make them air tight and didn’t make a dent on my summer energy bills. My goal is is to make the exterior walls as tight as possible. Can’t really afford new siding.
I’m also considering ripping out my old carpet and rolling on that roof insulating paint to seal up my subfloor.
My place is a 1972 double wide that’s about 1000 square feet.
Will be doing this project in phases, 1 room a month probably.
