We purchased a used DW 2002 Astro on a block foundation that has a Coleman propane fireplace insert with ceramic logs. This fireplace has a flue. Should we have the flue open when the fireplace is on and does anyone have any thoughts about these units.
Thank you

I am not familiar with fireplace, but it should be a M/H approved unit to be installed. I would have the flue open when using it and I would also have a carbon monixide detector in the home. Greg

Hi 186sunset,

Anytime you use any type of fireplace, you want the flue open for sure! If you're using a gas fireplace, you might want to have it inspected... and for sure, you want a carbon monoxide detector!

Just remember, safety first!
