Arc Metal Roof Install

I have recently purchased a [ro[erty that has an old moile home with an arc roof. I am planning to install a metal roof and maybe restore her to her old glory. What sorts of things should I consider before I begin the install. I have ordered both the Mobile home repair manual download as well as the write up on the arc metal roof instal, but it hasn't arrived in the mail yet. The part in the mobile home repair manual on the metal roof install made it seem simple. Is the write up that is specific to the arc roof install more specific than the mobile home repair manual? I am mainly just curious if there is anything that I need to take into consideration prior to ordering all ofthe materials?

First make sure the home is level, use a water level on the frame.

Are there any building codes in your area? You may want to check before going too far.

I am sure there are codes in the area im in. I have been internet searching the process on the government end and I will need a permit. I plan to look into that in the morning. Is this way of roofing an unapproved way to roof a home. I mean the method of installing the metal roof on the arc roof mobile home of course. I purchased the materials thinking that this would be an approved method of installing a reliable roof on this old mobile home.

OK I got the permit process approved. I have been doing some reading on this type of re roof and I have seen some people dealing with condensation under the metal roof. It is hard to tell if thye hve the same application as mine, but I distinctly remember one person saying that the 1X4 perlins rotted from the moisture created between the old roof anf the new one.

I have been thinking about ways to prevent this from happening to my roof. Here is the plan that I have developed so far. Feel free to make sugestions.

Step 1 is to cover the old metal roof with synthetic underlayment
Step 2 apply fan fold insulation board
Step 3 Run 1X4 Perlins the length of the trailer spaced about 2 feet apart on top of the fan fold insulation board
Step 4 Install 1/2 foam insulation board between the perlins
Step 5 Cover all of this with another layer of Synthetic Underlayment
Step 6 Install the drip edge along the length of the trailer
Step 7 Install the corrugated metal roof
Step 8 Install the end cap pieces (cant remember the name of this metal)

I feel like even though this may be a little bit of overkill it should work and hopefully accomplish my objective of installing a long lasting lightweight roof option for this olf trailer.

Am I missing anything

If you can figure a way to add an overhang on the side walls you can add sofitt vents on both sides to give some air flow and possibly a few vents on the top or even add a ridge vent.
