Hope u all had a wonderful Christmas.

1976 double wide Glenbrook. Current windows are old aluminum flange mount. I am going to replace them with single hung flange mount vinyl. It has T1-11 siding and the current windows are mounted on the outside of the siding where you can see the flange and the screws.

Should I mount the new windows with flange outside siding like existing windows are and put some trim on to hide flange or should I put them under the siding?

If under the siding do I pull all the siding from around window off or can I cut enough off to fit window and put some type of trim around window?

These are double pane insulated windows? If not I would not install them since you will not gain anything.
Install the flange against the siding otherwise you will have leaks. You can hide the flange with 1x3 wood trim
