Toilet Flange

I have to fix my rotted floor in my bathroom and when I pulled the rotted floor up the toilet flange came right up with it. Isn't the flange supposed to be glued into the drain pipe? Here is a couple pictures of what I have left.

Now I don't know what to do. I don't know if the pipe that is inserted inside the 3" drain pipe has to be cut out or if the subfloor just goes under it. It says ring has to be fastened to floor. What ring? Also, what kind of flange do I have to buy and is it glued in?

I appreciate the video but my application is different. In the video they glue a flange to a 3" pipe. My 3" pipe has a 3" x 4" connection glued to it and says ring must be fastened to floor on it.

I thought maybe I needed some kind of special flange that they make. I wonder why they glued this 3 x 4 inch piece inside the 3 inch pipe. I'm thinking I might have to cut that piece out of my 3" drain pipe and start all over. Anyone ever use a 3" x 4" connection with a flange before?

That might have been a flange that had a metal ring on it like the one in the picture above(the red part) and the flange came off. If your tee is a 4" one then they had a 3" inside glued to it. You can get an inside or outside connect type. Were your toilet bolts just in the wood floor? If you have enough 3" under that flange you can cut it as high as you can then get another toilet flange that goes over the 3" when glued.
