grab bars

need to add grab bars in plastic tub with ceramic tile looking walls. will the suction type bars work good?

thanks to your book I don't have to bother you often.

I think it would depend on how badly you need the grab bars. If you would only occasionally use them to catch your balance they may be fine, but if you need them to actually assist pulling yourself up I would go with a bolt on type.

Suction ones will work, but make sure the suction cups don't bisect a "seam". They won't hold fast unless they're stuck to a completely smooth surface.
That said, bolt on is best. You can't be sure with suction ones how strong the glue is that's holding that plastic to the wall.
If you bolt one on, secure it to a stud!
