Flex cross over duct for heating and air

Hello everyone this is my first post here looking for some help.
My wife and i live in a double wide mobile home and have question about a cross over duck that is disconnected.

When had a air conditioning put in they disconnected the cross over that came with the house off of the furnace,and put the new one in where the air condition comes in under the house.

we were wondering if we should reconnect the flex duct or leave it like it is.

My first question is why did the disconnect it?
You need to connect the 2 halves to have air flow to the ducts.

I do have one crossover that connects from the ac/heat pump.
before they put in the ac there was one that connected both ducts together.
They cut that one and zip tied it off on both ends.

I'm not following you here. So they ran a new "crossover" from the heat pump to one side of ducts? But then cut the crossover connecting the two sides together?

Ok, so right now if you turn the AC on, do you have air flow coming out of every vent on both sides of the home?

Your description is a little confusing. What were trying to understand is if you mean the cut the air flow to one side of your central air system or if they just cut the old flex duct out and put a new one in maybe at a different location.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. They cut the old one out and put in new one in diferent location
and yes i do have air flow on both sides of the house.We were just wondering if we needed to reconnect the old one and have both flex ducts connected.

As long as the old holes are sealed up you should be fine.

As long as they been closed off your all right. They must have seen a reason to install a new one in a different location. Perhaps better flow.
