New Heat Pump...Heat Strips??

Hi all...Newbie here...very glad I found this site

OK now that's out of the way, I need to ask about this new heat pump and air handler that I'm having installed next week...it is the cheapest of 3 bids and it is a Trane XR14 with a 4TEE3F31 air handler....anyone know if this air handler has heat strips in it?...if unit breaks down in the cold hows it going to keep me warm?....Thanks

Hi,

Not sure, but that is something that should be discussed with your installer.

You will need some source of back up heat with the heat pump.

I called the company and found out it does come with heat strips so I don't have to worry about that!!
