Heat/AC Floor Vents

Why is there a floor vent right under the furnace where any air coming out of it is being sucked into the filter?

Probably the fresh air intake for the combustion. Mobile homes are required by code to use outside are for any type of combustion for heating.

If it were an intake it wouldn't be blowing hot air and cool air depending on if I have it on heat or air.
