In the typical home, air conditioning uses more electricity than anything else—16% of total electricity used. In warmer regions AC can be 60-70% of your summer electric bill... This is where the savings are folks, not in worrying that you left your cell phone charger plugged in too long.
During summer time my electric bill is around $120 - $160 depending on how hot it is outside. I usually keep it pretty cool especially over night. Now remember that electric prices vary and depending on the efficiency of the unit and also how well the home is insulated etc etc etc its really hard to say what it would run you.
