I recenetly changed my system from the split Intertherm/Heil system to a Rheem Heat Pump Package Unit. It worked out great as the Air-handler closet I converted to a Linen Closet

I was thinking of doing something like this. I have an oil furnace now. Does the new unit have the large flex ducts that go threw the skirting? Does it have an electric backup for very cold days? If you can will you message me with an approx. cost that you had to put out for the switchover?

Thanks,
Ron

You can keep your oil in place and use it for backup heat. You just have to modify some of the duct work a little.
