I just had my furnace fail, had to call a tech and got it all figured out. Wasn't much time for guesswork since it was -35 outside. Anyways, I was looking through the site trying to learn a thing or two and lots of the problems with not lighting (which is what I had) are due to the orifice.

*Warning Lame Question Ahead* I've been looking on my furnace and can't locate the orifice, can anyone guide me as to exactly where it is?

Thanks a ton.

It is screwed into a small pipe coming out of the control valve inside the body of the furnace. Basically it's where the gas comes out to be burned to produce heat in the heat exchanger. Actually very few problems associated with the oriface. Only one I know is a spider web, provided the furnace is properly set up for the type of gas it is burning.
