Hi,

I have a Nordyne Furnace/AC unit with a yellow flashing light. Code reads 'weak LED flame'. When the furnace turns on it seems to take twice as long as normal. You can hear it click almost like flame is lighting but it continues to run then it clicks again and the flame lights, blower comes on as normal but the yellow light keeps flashing until it turns off. The flame doesn't appear to be weak at all. Any ideas?

Model
M1MB070ABW

Unit is going on 11 years old. had ignitor replaced 2 years ago and just had the inducer motor and pressure switch connection replaced a month ago.

Thanks,
Andy

Hi Andy,

Inspect the burner orifice/spud behind the gas valve leading to burner tube. Be sure it is not clogged (spider-web-bug).

Thanks,
Robert

I checked and it is not clogged/blocked. Any other suggestions? It seems to be working fine other than the light flashing and it taking 2 times to ignite. Flame doesn't appear weak, heat is blowing fine.

Hi,

Would need an hvac tech to do further testing to diagnose any problems within the cycle operation.

Thanks,
Robert
