I have an Intertherm/Nordyne G5RA096C-16. Duing the night, we had a lightning strike that caused us to lose power. When the power company got the power back on, the furnace blower runs continuously regardless of the the thermostat setting (on/off/fan, etc...).

I checked the 120VAC, the 24VAC and ICM fuse and all looks good. The status led on the ICM (p/n 624557-0) is off, as in no power, even though there is power to the board.

Is it new control board time or is there something else I should check?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,

Turn t-stat to OFF and if blower keeps running, check to see if it is getting 24V to the board and 120V from control board .

IF there is not 24V to board from t-stat, but there is 120V from board going to motor, the board id faulty.

This may or may not be the whole problem either way, but is most likely.

I can give a price quote for the board if needed.

Thanks,
Robert
