I am having a no ignition problem with a Coleman DGAT056BDD. When the thermostat calls for heat the I can see the ignitor heat up and glow red hot. After a few seconds a relay clicks which I assume is the gas control and almost immediately the ignitor goes cold. Of course this happens 3 times before the light begins to flash indicating no ignition. I have checked the voltage going to the gas control and 24vac is there. I was sure it was a defective gas control, but I took a look at the control board (7956-319) and found there is one resistor which has been seriously overheated. It is not completely burned but has been so hot the color code has been scorched off. Which is a better suspect, the control board or the gas control?

I would start by cleaning the flame sensor. If that doesn't solve the problem, then take a look at the board.
