I have moved this house and the a/c was working before. I have rewired the condenser unit and the heat isn't working.
I have checked power and know the fan works, the a/c works but I think the sequencer isn't working. There is 244 v to the top of the sequencers but nothing out the bottom.
I removed the heater coils and checked them completly. They aren't broken and the switches are passing current fine.
Is there a way to test a sequencer?
I would hate to spend the money to replace and it be something else?
Thanks in advance.

Set t-stat to Heat/Auto/85* for call for heat: Wait 2 minutes.

Bottom brass terminals:

H1 and H/2 = 24-28VAC

H3 and H/4 = 24-28VAC

H5 and H6 (if applicable) = 24-28VAC

Top and Middle Silver terminals:

M1 and M2 = 0VAC

M3 and M4 = 0VAC

M5 and M6 = 0VAC

IF you are not getting 24-28VAC at H terminals, check t-stat and wiring to sequencer from t-stat.

IF you are getting the 24-28VAC at H terminals, then you SHOULD get 0VAC across M terminals.

IF you have 24-28VAC at H's and 240VAC at M's, sequencer is bad.

Thanks,
Robert
