Furnace not heating

Hi there,

We have a Coleman Gas furnace model DGAT070BDD that won’t heat. When you turn it on it turns on normally. We noticed that it stopped heating. We checked to see if the light would blink but they did not. The lighter turns on and so does the sensor. We cleaned out the thermo sensor and checked the thermocouple hoping that would be the fix but it still was the same. The pilot lights for 5 seconds but then flame starts but doesn’t stay and shuts off. Then it starts to try again but can’t seem to stay on. We think it could maybe be the gas valve but we are not sure. We tested the gas valve and has 24 v and the inducer also works. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you in advance!

Curious about what the solution was for your furnace problem. Get 'er running good?

Should have gone ahead and told you the other reason for messaging you about this older post, which is to see if anyone has previously made you aware of your furnace model being on Coleman's recall list.

Here's the website for the recall just in case you're still not aware of it.
dgatprogram.com . I've had two experiences with this, so far. On the first one, they replaced a heat exchanger (combustion chamber), and took care of any problems the furnace had while doing so. Entirely no charge to the customer.

On the second one, there was damage to the case of the furnace. Actually a hole was burned in it (sidewall), as well as burning a spot on the dry wall a few inches from the hole in the case. Customer was given an entirely new furnace, no charge... Installed. Everything you need to know is on that website, but happy to answer any questions if you have any.
