RE: Underbelly Repairs...

Ok sorry, but maybe I'm not understanding yall. I read that your not suppose to put insulation around pipes near floor so that's why i thought the plastic stuff was suppose to go there. I'm in Arizona so there's not much moisture, except for monsoon season. They replaced all those pipes so we're goo...

Replacing Windows and Outside Wall Board...

Boy did I bite off more than I can chew on this one. We're replacing 5 windows (4 of them 62x40 and 1 is 30x39) on our 89 Schultz 16x66 single wide. After doing some research we've decided to go with the new construction single hung windows. One thing that baffles me is the clear frame windows are 4...

Underbelly Repairs...

Hi all.. I am having to replace the insulation and tarp stuff under the back end of a 16x66 single wide (master bathroom area) due to a water leak and after pipes were fixed they didn't replace it. Ugh. So I am taking the advice of the book and I got the Insulation and 1x4's and am picking up the ta...

RE: Kitchen remodeling finished...

I took Yanita's advice on how to paint the cabinets. I washed with tps, sanded real good, filled in any holes or flaws with putty, sanded again then painted. Here's the funny part, I misunderstood that you DON'T have to sand them between each coat of paint and primer. I used like 200 grit and sanded...

Shark Bites work on Gray Pipes!!!!!

I'm not a plumber, but have learned enough in the last year about these silly gray pipes to know how to at least fix'em when needed, or so I thought, then out of the blue when another leak sprung up my roommates decided to call an actual plumber and the guy came out, popped a 1/2" shark bite on...

Kitchen remodeling finished...

Hey all.. :D Well, I finally got it all done. Only took me a month to do myself, but I'm sure it didn't have to take that long I am kind of a perfectionist. Here's the before and after. Painted walls, cabinets, and the little molding pieces at the top to match. I put crown molding on cabinets and ma...

RE: Electrical switch in kitchen...

Oh and almost forgot, the plugs we got are for 15 amps and I read that the kitchen plugs need to be 20 amps. So I guess this means I have to get new plugs then right? Might be a dumb question, but thought i'd ask.

Electrical switch in kitchen...

Ok so after repainting kitchen and cabinets (will post pictures in the decorating forum once done) I decided to replace the light and plug in switches. So the switch that controls the light above the sink (that's all to my knowledge) had three sets of three wires coming from it. Now, I'm sure yall k...

Lost plumbing pipes???

Hey guys.. so recently i posted the water heater drama topic and got that part figured out. But, the guy who came over to fix it said he's never seen the hot and cold pipes that spider web off to all the other places in the house to be in the closet with the water heater. He said it should be under ...
