Re: furnace cycles twice

That's what I was figuring, which is fine with me as long as it works.

Hopefully this is what it was because it's -15 with wind chills right now so would hate to come home to a fault again and have the house froze.

Thanks again and will surely be back if the problem comes back!

Re: furnace cycles twice

Hi Robert, I recieved my pressure switch today and installed it. Doesn't look anything like the one that I had but it says this one replaces the one that was in there. I assume this is just a generic one. I cycled the furnace and measured it and got 24V at the begining for about 5 seconds and the fu...

Re: furnace cycles twice

I won't close unless it gets correct water column pressure,so main thing is that when it goes to 0vac, that it remain there entire cycle. That really helps, the one time that I was metering it when the burner failed to come on I had 24V then went to 0V and then when the burner should have came on t...

Re: furnace cycles twice

I just ordered a replacement from this site. After I get it and install it I will do the same tests on it and hopefully I will have 24V for longer than 2 seconds. Will post results when I have them and I to am hoping for some positives.

Thanks again, Scott

Re: furnace cycles twice

Thanks Robert, I'm going to go ahead and order the switch and hope for the best. I think that I've tested out to the best of my ability, with much help from you, and think the pressure switch is the best choice. Thanks for your help and hopefully replacing the switch will end this thread! Scott

Re: Ceiling

Not sure what you have now since you just said "a board" but drywall is heavy and so it the mud for taping it. You don't want to have the weight of 2 ceilings hanging up there, especially if you live where you get snow on your roof. My suggestion would be to either take down what you have ...

Re: furnace cycles twice

Hi Robert, I checked the tubes, they seem fine. I blew/sucked on them and could here the switch clicking open/close. The booster sounded a little loud so I took it apart and cleaned everything, had some leaves in the cage. Put everything back together and it runs smoother now. Don't think the air pi...

Re: furnace cycles twice

Hello Robert, Well I think we found the problem. Where is the smily for fingers crossed! No problem on the G and C, I figured it was just a typo or something. How does this pressure switch work? I'm thinking taht the board sends 24V to the switch threw one of the blue wires(the middle wire in the mo...

Re: furnace cycles twice

Thanks for that explanation Robert. Had a new twist in this thing today. Wasn't home from about 330-11 tonight and had thermostat set at 67. Got home and trailer was cold. Looked at thermostat and temp was 60 degrees in here. Looked at the furnace and the indicator light was blinking twice, cumbusti...

Re: furnace cycles twice

I believe that the time I "caught" it the booster came on first like normal. Then the flame forgot to come on. Then the blower came on. Then I watched it for about the next 6 times it came on and they were normal, the burner came on. There were no light codes giving off, stays green the wh...

Re: furnace cycles twice

Well just my luck Robert. After I posted that all was well it started double cycling again! I tested it again on the second cycle and there was not 24V between W and C and I couldn't see a flame in the burner and there wasn't hot air comming out of the vents. So I guess this time it was just the fan...

Re: Re-caulking Tub... HELP!!!

I highly doubt that there is grout in between the tub and shower surround. I know there is a company that makes a product to remove silicone caulk, here is one http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2151183&CAWELAID=109395747. I've never used it but have read about others having ...

Re: furnace cycles twice

Well I bought a new thermostat and installed it 2 weeks ago. Don't want to jinx anything but so far it seems to be working right. Maybe the cheap thermostat that came with the trailer was shot, I'm hoping that is all the problem was. Thanks again for all your help trouble shooting everything, really...

Re: Entering the underbelly

I had to do some insulating work under the trailer this summer and let me say it was not something I would want to do again! Had a bathroom leak a while ago and had to go replace the insulation that had gotten wet. I pulled the skirting apart where needed and crawled in. I made a bunch of 2' long cu...

Re: furnace cycles twice

Thanks Robert. I had 24 at W and C and also at the two brown wires when the plug was plugged in. When I un plugged the plug I lost 24 V at the brown wires and the green light began flashing. I figured this had something to do with the fact that I unplugged the molex plug and it turned the burner off...
