If you have a full service hardware store in your area they may have some regulators there. Greg

I did a mix & match floor in the hall, White Oak for outside border, red oak, & pecan in the middle. Bought all of it at Lowes on closeout. Go ahead, mix & match, if you don't like it you are not out a lot of money. Greg

You know it's funny, I was talking to a guy at work earlier this week, and we both thought they could make a killing with cartoon CD, the old warner brother toons, Road runner, Fog horn, Speedy, Bugs, Yosemiti Sam, you know all the toons that were too violent. Greg

Jenny, Hi & welcome to the family. It sounds like the windows may be stuck from non use or sealed shut for the winter. you could try taking the regulator mounting screws out and see if you can push the windows open. Greg

A word of caution about black, I have a LARGE tool box that is black, it shows EVERY fingerprint, smudge, dust etc. personally the idea is good but I think you will end up hating it. Ask anyone with black appliances about it. Greg

RE: 200 amp circuit vs 100 amp

Three possibilities come to mind. 30# roofing, is ther a heavier option? 1/2" sheetrock, can you get it throughout the home. not just living & dining room? 200 Amp service, too easy to order now rather than upgrade later. Greg

RE: Where to find replacement wallboard

It sounds to me like you may have vynil covered sheetrock. You may be able to take a small section from a hidden area like a closet. You may find also that it is easier to repaint the entire wall or room than to find a matching panel, if they exist. perhaps others may have some ideas to try. Greg

Hi & welcome to the family. Yes you can put too much insulation in, you need to leave some space between the insulation & the floor joists. Your plumbing is kept warm from the heat off of the heat ducts, if you fill too much the heat from the ducts will not be able to circulate to the pipes....

Brad, it sounds to me like it is 2x4 construction, remember that the 2x4 sizing is the "rough cut size (before the board was planed). Greg

RE: Floor plan

If you are trying to locate a plan on the internet I would sugest going and buying a lottery ticket, I think the odds are about the same. Prints on newer homes are hard to find, you home is a pre HUD home. Many of the Pre HUD home builders simply went out of buiseness when the HUD standards went int...

RE: Is it Worth the Trouble to Fix?

Hi & Welcome to the family. By the sounds of it I think you did in fact get a deal. I don't know how much work you are PLANNING to do, however if you are going through the trouble of pulling inside walls apart to redo wiring you might as well look at doing a window upgrade in needed as well. you...

RE: window frame question

Brad, It sounds to me like the best option you have is to open up the wall around the window opening, Take a panel on each side of the window off to get a good look at what is really rotted. It is not a fun job once, so do it once and do it the proper way. Jreg
