Re: Miller Model MGHA-056ABFC-05 A-Coil Compatibility

HI,
Yes that furnace is able to upgrade to add a/c. You will need to add an "A" coil and the condensing unit out side as well as a blower upgrade.

Re: Coleman Blows 3amp fuse when on Cool only

Hi Pete, I am not convinced that the reversing valve this the problem. For starters it takes 24 volts to run the valve so putting 12 volts to it wont give you the correct reading. Also by putting on a 4 wire t-stat that wont run the heat pump in a/c mode. But if you are sure that it is your reversin...

Hi, Does your fan come on when you put the thermostat to just fan on? It almost sounds like it could be a fan relay or your blower capacitor.
Thanks Bill

Hi,
Tell him what you just said, That you want the problem fixed and don't want the smell anymore. As far as how much it cost, I can't say as every part of the country is different and all repairs are different. Sorry no help there.

Re: ac runs non stop

Hi, Cleaning the outside unit will not help your air flow. what it will do is work more efficiently, It will cool or heat(heat pump) the air better. Sorry but it wont solve your air flow problem. Some item's to check, the insulation under the home, connection of the duct work, Even check the air fil...

Re: Coleman Presidential II, M/N 3115A751: A/C won't turn on

Hi, I would recommend getting more than one quote, Most company's will give you a free quote. A couple of suggestions, Ask the first company that you had come out if the repair bill that you already paid will be taken off the price of the replacement cost. A lot of company's will do this just to get...

Re: Coleman Presidential II, M/N 3115A751: A/C won't turn on

Hi, First thing to do is find out if you have power to the a/c unit. You can start by checking the fuse or breaker at the electrical panel and make sure that the breaker is not tripped or the fuse not blown. If you know that you have power to the a/c unit then it might be the capacitor. Another plac...

Hi, I am not an expert in kerosene furnaces. But no your furnace should not smell out of the vents. You stated that your furnace is older, and as with any older furnace the heat exchanger is problem the cause of your problem. Re: coleman model DGAA070BDTA

Hi, It sounds to me like its the thermostat. The easiest way to check that is to try and jump the a/c at the control board in the furnace and see if it comes on. If it does then i would start with a new stat.
Thanks,
Bill

Re: have to replace my unit

HI, I do have a Trane Heat pump and a 95% natural gas furnace. I would recommend a heat pump paired with electric heat or a 80% gas furnace(propane or natural). I don't know where you live but, where i live the power company offers a rebate on the purchase of the heat pump and a lower electrical rat...

Re: have to replace my unit

Well I have installed both Trane and Goodman equipment. Trane is a better Brand in my opinion. Goodman seams to be just a step below as far as quality goes. There is nothing wrong with Goodman. I am not sure how the warranties compare. Your salesman should be able to show you the difference in warra...

Hi Carl, When you go to buy your new window air the box that the unit come's in has the size of the unit and what size of room that it will cool. Keep in mind that, when choosing a room air conditioner, size is important. A unit that is too small will run continually without cooling the room effecti...
