Re: coleman evcon DGATO70800 ac not cooling

Hi, First thing is that the only way to check to see if you have enough refrigerant is with a gauge set. That will show if you have any refrigerant in your system. It is possible that you have just enough in the system to make it cool for only a couple of minutes then nothing will happen. Since it s...

Re: coleman/evcon DGAT 070BDC Blower wont come on

Hi,
It sounds to me like its the circuit board is just not working right. Here is a link where you can get a new one. They will also test the old one for you to make sure that is what is wrong.

Re: coleman/evcon DGAT 070BDC Blower wont come on

Hi,
First thing I would like to try is resetting the Manual reset limit switch. It is located in the upper 1/3 of the furnace and is to the left of the blower. See if you can reset the switch and if that fixes things.

Hi,
Does the blower not work when the thermostat is calling for heat? Or does it not work only when the thermostat is calling for the a/c to turn on? This will help to figure out what is going on. Thanks Bill

Re: ac stopped working

Hi there, Well from what i have found out that a typical service call can run any where form $80 to $150. Alot of that depends on what part of the country you live. A good company will tell you if you ask what they are going to charge you to show up and check your system. With that said there is a c...

Hi Trish, First i would like to ask, is the heat on as well as the blower? If so then I would say it sounds like the sequencer is not working for you. Here is a link for a sequencer for your furnace. http://www.aberdeenhomerepair.com/store/product/2314/3120A3571-sequencer If it is just the blower i ...

Hi there, First off here is the sequence of operation for your furnace 1. When the roomtemperature falls below the setting of the room thermostat, the thermostat energizes the furnace control board. 2. When the furnace control board is activated, the combustion air blower is turned on. 3. As the com...

Hi,
Somehow they are wired together, but might not be much help without seeing the wiring diagram for his unit and seeing the instructions with the hard start kit. If you can post the full model number I might be able to look up the wiring diagram for the a/c Thanks

Hi, Dave Here is the code for your furnace. 3 Flashes - the control is in lockout because a failed ignition attempt, a gas valve error or a false flame sensed during the warm up period. If false flame has been sensed, the control will return to normal operation, and repeat ignition sequence when the...

Re: 3400-818 runs continous both heat and fan

Hi Dave, Insulating the furnace is not going to add years to the life of your furnace. What it might do is add efficiency to the the furnace. What i mean is that you are make your air hold more heat or cooling longer with insulation around your duct work. There for you make the air deliver that heat...

Hi,
It sounds like they got some wires crossed up when they rewired your system. Its hard to say what they might have done wrong. Is the system a heat pump or a/c. If you could supply the model numbers for the out door unit that would help.
Thanks,
Bill

Re: Fiberglass Ductboard questions

Hi, JP
Sounds like you got your duct figured out. The only other thing i would add is that you use a good foil back tape. Venture tape 1580 is one that has been tested for use on Ductboard Insulation. You want to use this anywhere you have a joint or connection.

Hi, Shane It sounds like it could be one of two things. First it is possible that your thermostat has gone bad, Second it could be that you fan relay is not working. Here is a link to a replacement for the fan relay. http://www.aberdeenhomerepair.com/store/product/2304/3110-3301-fan-relay Since I do...
