I have a plumber friend i may hire to change everyone of them on all the toilets and sink faucets, BUT, do they make metal ones that wont ever break i can use in place of the plastic ones?

well, it already has cut off valves on that pipe so I can turn it off but as far as replacing that cheap plastic screw fitting, I don't really know how because it is crimped on the pex pipe and I don't have the pex crimping tool and wouldn't trust myself with one if I did..What about those shark bit...

They actually look identical to these so maybe they are copper..

If they are copper, are they dependable? Obviously they arent as good as stainless steel but... They are now 15 years old so i hope they are dependable..

We have a 2000 oakwood double wide. It has PEX plumbing. I was noticing that the crimp clamps are black. I stuck a magnet to them and it didnt stick! That must mean they are plastic..? How does that work? They are completely smooth all the way around, like they are solid with no break in them UNLIKE...

starting to lean towards shingles instead of metal. I thought about the little rubber washers on the screws in the hot TN. sun...They will eventually dry rot and leak, so that kinda goes against the metal roof lasting longer.. MR.
