Re: Heating and blower will not come on all the time

I have only seen this happen one other time, but you may have a sequencer hanging up. Hard to trouble shoot out. If it works all tests good, when it fails you have to gently be able to get your test leads on the terminals of the sequencer to test for 24v. If 24v is there and nothing is happening the...

Re: Coleman Evcon, electric

Why go overboard, with the furnace on and tstat calling for heat I'd check to see if you have 220v at the elements. Normal sequence of events is, 1) blower comes on and 1 heat element comes on, 2) after a short while the sequencer will kick another element on and 2 will be ON, 3) a short time after ...

Re: Coleman Evcon, electric

Could be a number of things, sequencer, heating element out, burned wire, etc. Tstat sounds like it's turning the furnace on, usually the first thing to start on electric furnaces is the blower, I'd rule it out. What kind of mechanical backround do you have? Can you use a multi-tester?

I've only seen that once, where the wheel hub breaks loose from the fin assembly. Terrible squealing noise. Sounds like you just need a blower wheel. Pull your blower wheel and try a local heating supply house. They should be able to hook you up.

Re: Coleman 3400-815 not getting very hot if at all.

First you can check to see if the sequencer is sending power to the elements. Should have 220v or so when testing at each end of the element, do not read through the limits. If so, then pull power, disconnect the wiring from the elements and see if you have continuity through them. Strange as it sou...

Re: Coleman furnace Model- DGAT075BDC Serial- 941057861

You have a flame sensor and igniter? Three wires coming out of the burner area, 1-yellow and 2-white, correct? Yellow is to the flame sensor and the 2 whites to the igniter. If I'm not mistaken there should be a small metal tab at the end of the burner assembly at about the 3 o'clock position, small...

Re: Coleman furnace Model- DGAT075BDC Serial- 941057861

If you can view the flame while in full burn, see if it goes out at full burn or does it dwindle to a small blue only flame then go out? If dwindling to a small flame you may have either a partially blocked flue vent or holes in the inner pipe of the flue assembly causing the unit to recirculate flu...

Re: Miller m1mc 090a furance problems

FINE....then go outside and whack the regulator with a 2x4. Not looking to hit a homerun here just a fair thump. It's the round looking thing next to the meter. Not sure where you live but there is a breather hole on the underside of it. At times snow will bury the meter and regulator and for whatev...

Re: Miller m1mc 090a furance problems

You say the water heater went out as well. You need to check your incoming gas pressure. Are you on natural gas or LP? If LP, call the provider to have them check the output at the regulator, if natural, call your gas company to have them check output at the meter. Both need to be tested with a gaug...

Re: Bye-Bye garden tub. Hello REAL shower!

Many towns are requiring anti-scald faucets be installed in bath/shower units. That's why it's getting harder and harder to find the simple 2 handle shower faucets these days. Plumbing supply houses or "old" local hardware stores may have what you're looking for, however those may be fairl...

Re: Coleman BGU1001GA no Ignition.

When you twist white and red together and get the click, does the burner come on? If it does and a short time later you get the humming noise, I suspect you have a multispeed blower and the low/heating speed has gone out on the motor. That would produce a hum and cause the blower motor to get hot. W...

Is the thermocouple positioned properly in the pilot flame? If so, then the either try another thermocouple or the control valve is bad and needs to be replaced.

Re: Nordyne E2EH 015HA fan will not work in auto postion

Put all the wires back on their original terminals and tstat properly in system. Turn fan switch to AUTO and tstat calling for heat. Tap the sequencer at M1/M2 terminals with a screwdriver handle. If that gets it to turn on, sequencer is hanging up and bad.
