Mom of 5...Bless your soul! LOL, and all budding artist!

As for the removal I have also used Krud Kutter from Home Depot, comes in a one gallon container. Clean smell. Concentrated cleaner, so either use full strength or dilute as necessary for other jobs.

Happy Holidays

Have you tried using "Goo Gone"? It worked well for me. WD 40 also works, but the odor will get to you if there is a lot to do. Goo Gone is citrus scented. Give it a try.

Removing crayon from vinyl-covered walls

I've searched these forums over and over. Forgive me if this HAS been asked and I missed it. Do any of you know of ANYTHING that will remove crayon marks from these vinyl-covered wallboards without removing the original color of the walls? Make sense? I've got five budding artists who have created m...

I have painted the cabinets in my kitchen and in the living room and will paint the bathroom cabinets as well. I just primed and painted and then used an antique glaze. You can see pics by clicking on the link. The before is rather dark so you can't really tell much about how they looked before but ...

I've painted about half of my cabinets (bath, laundry, and the divider cabinet between kitchen and living room); and peeled the plastic-y stuff off of all of 'em (haven't settled on the full kitchen plan yet, so those are just the bare MDF). I suppose if the plastic-y veneer is in good shape you cou...

I have painted a popcorn ceiling. The trick is to sweep it with a broom. That knocks off any loose popcorn then paint quickly, careful not to go over the same spot too mant times, it will pop off onto the roller.

Greg,
The only way I have seen this done successfully is by using a sprayer. Otherwise, the texture does soften and will smush with a second pass. Brushes just take way to long Good luck..let us know if you find another solution.

Painting popcorn ceilings

Does anyone have any "brilliant" ideas for doing a popcorn ceiling? I started using a roller on ours with Kilz ceiling paint and found that on the second pass of the roller, it had softened the popcorn so much that it lifted from the Sheetrock. I called my supplier and the kilz rep just ha...

Bill, Most switches are rated for 15 amps, as long as you do not exceed that you should not have any problems. On paper you would be able to have 1650 total watts of light to be at 15 amps. you may want to think about other types of bulbs that are more efficient than the incandescent (1650 watts of ...

Decorative lighting in hallway

For you folks who don't get "nervous about changing a light bulb". I have a hallway about 18 feet long with a single ceiling light fixture in the middle of it. We want to mount quite a few of our old family pix on the wall of that hallway and want to use track lighting where the current fi...

Well Maureen 6 is a good start. an ABC type is best for 98 % of household fires. I ran out of paces in here to put em (28'x65'). The only one near a heat source is the one in the laundry room 6' from the dryer. Now for outside.... I have a 10# ABC in a cabinet out front on the back side of the well ...
