RE: Help locating the year/make of my trailer

Mine has the information inside of a kitchen cabinet door and on a data plate outside right where the electricity comes into the house.

RE: Economical and affordable cell-phone...?

I second what Greg said. I have picked up several cell phones for around $1 each at yard sales or wherever. I keep one in each vehicles glove compartment and another at the house. My home phone service is Vonage which also goes through my internet and when my net/cable goes out so does my phone. I h...

RE: Close call, VERY lucky

Greg, your voodoo worked... I had to purchase an 8000 BTU window unit because it was a 100 plus outside and I couldn't bring the temp down inside to under 80... Silver Lining... Since I'm not home much I bought a programmable thermostat and I'm only running the house a/c a couple of hours before I'm...

Heat tapes? What kind of animal doth thou speak of? Oh that's right, I'm too far south for such a creature.

RE: Kitchen Lighting

Thanks Old Fart, those are some disadvantages I had not thought about. I think almost every light bulb in my trailer is a compact florescent or an actual florescent. I moved these ceiling fans from my house and the bulbs have been in them for at least two years. I may not have that much vibration bu...

Why not look to change the light kit under the ceiling fan to a three bulb fixture? Also if you use the compact florescent bulbs you can install brighter bulbs (a 60 watt CF only draws 13 watts).

RE: Gasoline

I parked my 1994 Full Sized Econoline Conversion Van and started driving a 1994 Geo Tracker 2-door convertible that I bought for $600. I was very surprised to find that the A/C works!

I doubt I'll use the air much as I like the top open.

RE: Ryobi One Lithium Review

I only have one cordless drill... It is a five year old Dewalt 24 volt hammer drill. It's the only drill I need or want. I love my Dewalt. They fit the hand well and work great.

Thus far, my battery is still strong. It recharges in about 20 minutes and has never let me down.

RE: Electric or Gas Stove

Well, I surfed the internet, a few articles and decided that I wanted to keep my electric stove. I have a top of the line GE, glass cooktop model and I would have missed it. I called a few highly skilled electricians and they were all wanting to be highly paid. The breaker box is a 100 amp so the pa...

Electric or Gas Stove

The natural gas stove that was in this trailer when I moved in appeared to still have the first hamburger ever cooked on it 21 years before still stuck down in it. It was N-A-S-T-Y. So out to the street it went to be picked up by the trash folks. Now comes the tough question. I have a top of the lin...

RE: Peel and stick vinyl tiles

When I went to Lowe's I found a range of the peel and stick 12 X 12 tiles. There was one for 38ยข a sq ft but it was thin and well, looked cheap. One a little better and then there was a whole collection of Armstrong Signia. I found a pattern that I liked. This Friday, I plan to spend the day finishi...

RE: Peel and stick vinyl tiles

Until discovery of this site/post by accident, I was in a quandary to determine what to do with the kitchen, laundry area and entrance area of a mobile home that I recently purchased. Previous owner was a HEAVY smoker and not much on the cleaning aspect. The home is a 1987 Redman 14 X ?? (I'll have ...
