RE: New members

I like my salmon bright. In the rivers, I just keep track of the runs and fish count and go when the fish are fresh. I have caught them beat up but now spawned out. Too for upriver for me. Dog rolling on the fish... Funny! I take my dog fishing... in a kind of small boat... Ducks poop at the side of...

RE: Minor/Major plumbing issues

Hi Jaie, Just go for it and enjoy your new plumbing. PEx is fine inside your floor joists. I would run it above the insulation for thermal protection. PEx is not for exterior use, meaning exposed. All of your house plumbing should be within the insulation and belly wrap. I am not a freezing weather ...

RE: for JD

Hi troyster, So you are using the fanfold foam backing and no home wrap, correct? You were also removing the aluminum siding? If it were me, I would put the aluminum flashing, like you said, top over sides, sides over bottom, with only the bottom coming out over the foam board. Again, let the bottom...

RE: New members

Hey Kashton, I used to make B.C. fishing trips often. My focus is Florida in recent years though. We'd fish Horse Lake, La Hache, La Juine, at least a dozen lakes up and back. My favorite stop was Timothy Lake. The fishing was good, but the hosts of the small lodge and cabin place were the best. JD

RE: Kitchen backsplash ideas

Decorating and colors and such is not really one of my strong points, but I could recommend a material to use. Formica and Wilsonart can be purchased in 4x8 (or less) sheets. I have installed this all the way up to and sometimes behind the kitchen cabinets. To get a good fit, get a roll of the brown...

RE: Deck, but no footers allowed!

I have built many decks and have never used footers or even concreted posts when the deck was on a mobile home. We use the steel mobile home piers with pressure treated pads. We use skirting or lattice to hide the piers. In mobile home parks we often build the plywood decks with indoor/outdoor carpe...

RE: Under The Kitchen Sink!

I like using all ABS, mostly because I don't like the thin walled white stuff that comes in the packaged "kits". ABS also magically disappears when you look under the sink, like puppeteers.

Wow! 13 new members today (03/13). That is pretty good isn't it? I know we had a lot of re-registers when the forum changed. But there seems to be a lot of new people joining us every day. I'd like to say Hi to all the new members. It will be great to have your input. I don't see many profiles fille...

RE: Metal Exterior Door Peeling in Sheets

This may be a vinyl clad mobile home door. With sa couple of good scratches and time they can peel. You could try to get it all off of the outside of the door, clean it up real good to remove glue residue, and paint it with a high quality paint, like Kelley-Moore 1695 Dura-Poxy+. The better the pain...

RE: took 10 years to ask this...

I have never really thought about it but that is the way all cathedral ceiling homes I have seen are built. On one of my recent jobs, the home had cathedral in the living, dining room and kitchen and then at the far end in the large master bedroom, but the mst bath, utility room, hall and the other ...

RE: Profile Music and Firefox

Well I decided to do something about the Firefox/MS asx plug-in issue. After searching for fixes I found this link. http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=206213 I like my computer fix instructions real simple, so I decided that I will wait till something happens automatically (or not). :) JD

RE: Profile Music and Firefox

Hi Bill,

So would this Active-X warning come up with an older version of media player? Is there a different media player that would be fairly universal to all visitors that could be used?

Oh, that's not so good. The link points to a wav file. Try justting the wav file in a vista browser and see if it is the link or wav files.
