What are you using K1 in? A regular mobile home oil furnace? Or a floor type little space heater? In NH you have some very cold weather. The oil delivery people in your area will know what blend is best for you. Here in lower Ohio we use #2 fuel oil but at zero number 2 oil does not want to flow wel...

RE: Nordyne Furnace conversion

I am sorry to say but there is a lot more to a conversion than just some cover on a control valve. These conversions should be done by a professional HVAC Mobile Home repair person with much experience. We do not give out any information that could possibly get somebody hurt or killed in the process...

RE: Furnace floor R&R ?

There should be a metal/paper tag on the unit that will state clearance to combustibles. It will list the sides back and front and the top and bottom.

Does it work? It could be a automatic on at dusk off in the morning style lite. It could also be a lite that takes movement to turn it on like a security lite. This would explain the no switch situation. On my storage shed I have a security lite. The previous owner installed it with out a switch. I ...

RE: Redneck Antenna is Up!

Since it is a metal antenna and pvc pipe did you ground the metal antenna for safety to a copoper ground rod driven into the ground?

Other than that looks good.

RE: Coleman Evcon EB17B - fan blows constantly

The first thing to check is your thermostat. See if the fan switch is turned to automatic or on. You want to have it set to automatic or your fan will run all the time.

RE: Coleman Evcon 7900 Presidential III Blower Problem

Your main burner orifice could be partially restricted causing the unit to not be able to stay on because the flame does not get hot enough. This will cause the blower to cycle on the fan control thermostat. Could be the blower fan motor getting to hot. Next time it runs and stops turn off the power...

RE: Thermastat temperture

I treat the drains with the pink antifreeze and set my thermostat at 50 degrees. The water lines in most homes run down the side of the heat duct so they do not freeze. I found that by letting the heat on it really saves the home from other damage. Yes it costs $$ when you do not use it much in the ...

Robert All of us have been in the same boat from time to time. In many cases you have the advantage of still doing work on our types of systems which is very valuable. The older I get the longer it takes me to figure out exactly what might be going on in a system. I just hope the day never comes tha...

RE: Coleman unit

More than likely that is a duct for a blend air system. Many times they build our homes so they can use different types of furnaces. I am sure it has been working fine without it attached.

Robert can probably give you more info on this than I can.
