RE: Does "as is" really exist?

Ok, now I'm getting worked up about this. Everyone should have standards on the condition of anything they sell. But I know allot of people that think everything that doesn't last a lifetime should be the responsibility of the previous owner. There is nothing worse than someone phoning you 3 months ...

RE: Does "as is" really exist?

"as 'is" to me(especially when buying a car) usually means there is something that needs to be done. But, then again, when I sell my mobile, it will say "as is, where is" so if the person decides to move it, I am not responsible for anything. Everything that I think needs to be d...

RE: Hoping someone knows what I'm talking about

The skirting kits we can get here in Canada are made of Aluminum. Not insulated, and you would have to order a pre-measured size. I myself prefer to cut my own. Roofing tin can be used and painted(have tried, and it had hold up for a couple of years so far), and was insulated on the under the traile...

RE: Reno's going good.

I don't think we will be done until the end of August. Then the lady and I can come up with a possession date. She will have to give notice where she is renting too. All I ask of Brent, is he have the walls up, and roof on. He already asked me to insulate and poly, Sean (hubby) to drywall, and then ...

RE: self cleaning ovens

I have a self cleaning gas. Since the temp gets so high, I pull it out from its space. I got the gas line so I could do just that. I also do it when the kids are out of the house. I can also set mine for a 1-4 hour clean.

RE: Buying a House.

I was just thinking. Maybe something in the way of padded walls would be better for me. The rest of the family can come to visit. Just don't mention the word "HOUSE".

Reno's going good.

Despite everything, the reno's are finally moving along. Only two more windows to install, and I will be working on the siding. I was gonna get the Troyster to go under to insulate the floor under the back room, but I'll have to do it , Troy may be out of town. I have enough of the skirting off to s...

Buying a House.

This whole buying a house thing is really stressing me out. Everyone wants BIG money for garbage. I also feel like it is so permenate to live in a house. I know our mobile is no longer "Mobile", but I always felt like we could just move it if we were tired of living here. A house doesn't h...

RE: Tubular skylight

Makes sense. Straight tube, more light. With the other, the skylight sits flat against the Pitched roof, then the tube would have to be angled in. If one was to put the tube straight in, light would be lost. If anyone understands what I am talking about. OK, It makes sense in my head!

RE: Tubular skylight

Probably should have started a new thread, but, I was at Rona yesterday and a guy was buying two tubular sky lights. They were flexible. The ones I've seen are straight, and the hole would have to be perfect. He said the flex ones are easier to install, and are almost half the price. Which would be ...

RE: Fires Out West Here...Again!

Maureen, Hope everything is ok there now. I know everyone here dreads the sound of thunder and lightning. That always means a forest fire is gonna happen. You are a very giving person to take in the people and pets. I know it can be very tuff on you as well. Make sure you don't overdue it. You need ...

LOL, JD. Mighty Mouse used to be my fav. Was going to get a tatoo of Mighty Mouse when I was younger. Decided against it as I got older. We get the Deja vu channel. I wish they had Hawaii 5-o on still.(Book em, Danno) We do watch Guilligan's Island. (Not that I haven't seen every episode numerous ti...

RE: Fishing

We usually smoke most of our fish, but this one, we will fillet, wrap in foil with spices and a bbq sauce and soy sauce mix. Then let it simmer in the foil.

The trout my daughter caught will go to one of the single ladies in the park that loves trout.

RE: Kitchen Cabinets and trim...

Oh, she also covered the front of come cabinet doors with the planks, then put a trim around them. They are thin and light, and in my opinion, very easy to work with.
