RE: preventing bathroom repairs?

Hi Mike! What you need to do is insulate the inside of the tank. There are do it yourself foam insulating kits to take care of this. The only other alternative is to buy a new insulated toilet tank.

RE: Bad neighbours, bad landlord

I feel for you Jim. Last August we finally got our "trailer trash" removed and not a minute too soon. The stress it was causing me was tremendous. The more I filed complaints with the land owners/management the more immature the offenders got and the more crap they would pull as revenge fo...

RE: Need to change bathtub color!!!!

Hi Yanita! the tub was done last August and still looks the same as first day it was done. We don't regret doing this at all. colors changed and never missed a shower. plus didn't have to crawl under home to shut water off (bonus) we were able to retain deep tub which my wife Cheryl wanted all along...

RE: Front Door Won't Remain Closed in Colder Weather.

I had a problem similar to yours in the summer plus the door was sticking this winter . Its the worst in the winter so what I did was I went to my local lock shop and shelled out "gasp" $16 bucks for an oversized striker plate. took a hole cutter and chisel and went to work on it. lol. clo...

RE: Need to change bathtub color!!!!

Hi T/E! I faced the same dilemma with my puke green tub and shelled out the $375 bucks Canadian and got it professionally refinished and my wife and I are thrilled with the results. It is a little gritty in spots so I would suggest the extra cost non slip coating on the bottom of the tub. You need to...

RE: Bathtubs

Hi Deb! Not sure if it will work but its worth a try-toothpaste with baking soda. I used this on my yellowed and faded plastic headlights and they cleaned them to a like new condition. If this don't work then the only other thing I can think of would be rubbing or polishing compound that you can fin...

RE: Question on my roof

RE: mystery leak

Hi Carol! I think you hit it on the button. We have had intense winds with blowing snow for over a week and the temps were far below freezing. It leaked when the weather warmed. The back vents have slightly larger "perforations" and the frontal full soffit replaces 2 smaller vents so there...

RE: mystery leak

Hi Yanita! I myself use the fans religiously; it's training Cheryl & my son Nicholas too use them consistently. I think it sunk into their heads the importance now of using the fans all the time. yes the fans do exhaust to the outside. this i know because i have replaced both the bathroom and ki...

weirdest thing! My wife Cheryl was at the bathroom sink when I walked in and she asked if someone was splashing water up the walls. I looked up and seen a stream of water coming down the wall from the ceiling. I just coated the roof with liquid rubber this spring and know it is solid. The only expla...
