Re: Mice in the wall

i would agree with the snap traps. Use the best available- victor brand. Put crunchy peanut butter on the end and set out many all over the house against the walls or in the floor cabinets (leave the doors open). Ive gotten 11 this way. Then i pulled up carpet and found the old owners liked to make ...

Re: Double Wide Creation

Cool project and good luck with whatever you decide. I'd set them up wherever/however I wanted, and prioritize the footings to make them permanent before I did anything else major between the 2. You can always hold off the remodel expense of a room or 2 if needed. Get them permanent then continue wi...

Re: Building a wall to hold cabinets

This is what id do, You need to layout where your wall will be on the ceiling and the floor. then install your studs on the ceiling and the floor with 2x4s (i make it a point to hit the existing studs or joists with these horizontal studs). Then you would install the vertical studs 16" apart on...

Re: Before we cut a hole.....

If it were me I would be hesitant to add openings where the factory didn't put them without consulting an engineer.

Maybe I'm wrong but it would be a few hundred bucks for a strucutral engineer and piece of mind...

Ponch caught what we missed. One toilet is fine so it definitely is before that line if they tie together like mine.

Re: Kitchen/bathroom plumbing issue

Our doublewide is 57 feet long so she very well could be out towards septic tank or common line. Jennifer I believe I may have a clean out where the sewer pipe leaves the crawl space under our mh. I would go in crawl space and see if you have this? Then try rodding there after pulling the plug off.

Re: Kitchen/bathroom plumbing issue

Why is rodding from the toilet not correcting the issue... Hmmmmm. The tub is seemingly accepting the water from all else and filling up. So I would concentrate on that drain location. Rod or vac from this drain anyway possible is my next step... Good luck Crap flows downhill. The tub and sink drai...

Re: Moving an electrical outlet

Oh I'm sorry I didn't know the limits. I realize you can't just splice into the wall. My concern was that I thought bathrooms were supposed to be 12/2 wire with a 20 amp GFCI. I was surprised to see the wire and GFCI that I mentioned earlier. I may be pushing it here but to clarify, If the breaker ...
